Little Monsters

Next up in my Halloween series,

This was actually my daughter's idea and request when we were in the craft store, she saw the little gogglely eyes and thought it would be funny and cute if I painted monsters on my nails and added the eyes to them

"Kleaning" Overload

This morning I ran into my local beauty supply store to pick
up a couple of NYX shadows that they have real cheap there.
Dontcha know that when you attempt to run in and out
of store quickly, you always end up with twice as much stuff as you had originally planned to buy.
Uh-huh
This particular beauty supply always has KleanColor polishes,
but it's always the same 5 shades from 2 years ago.
This morning I walked in and the were 2 huge racks filled with KleanColor!
I got a little carried away and ended up putting a few back, but this is what I ended up with. Oh and one Brucci polish for the heck of it. hehe

Pastel Teal - Nope, this is a true sky blue color, not a single resemblance of Teal. I've got a small handful of similar colors, but nothing quite this light. It's a standard cream, a little streaky on the 1st coat, but perfect on the 2nd.

Lavenbaby - I really couldn't tell you why I'm on such a purple/plum kick, but I am. Sigh, I have many colors that are practically identical, but this pretty purple cream looked so pretty, I couldn't help myself.
Applied beautifully with a single coat.

Elizabeth A's Natural - Shrugs, don't ask me, I didn't name it lol
This gorgeous oyster cream color is really perfect to wear year round.
Again, this one applied beautifully in a single coat.

Cafe Au Lait - This is a yellow-based camel color. It's showing a bit more yellow in the photos, it is much more muted than it appears.
Great for Fall, I'm looking forward to using it.
Applied flawless with a single coat.

Fashionista - Oh yes! This one I had been hoping to get my hands on.
This is the best of the lot. A true olive green cream. Yummy.
Slightly streaky on the 1st coat, but 2 made it perfect.
Love.

Red Sparkle - Now this one is very unusual, at least to my eyes.
It's a red-based jelly with not red, but silver sparkles. It's probably the jelly base and the fact that I just watched the DEXTER premiere last night, but this reminds me of blood. LOL Blood in a good way, in a Halloween way.
:D You'll see me use this for at least 1 of my Halloween looks, I'm sure.
Chunky Copper - This is an orange-based jelly with small round & larger hexogon orange glitter in it. Yes, the name says copper, but this really couldn't get anymore orange.
4 coats to get some solidity to the glitter, but this is really best as a top coat. Again, you'll see me using this one for Halloween.

Here's some swatches

Racing Stripes

This look was a very special request.
After mentioning to my son one day that
I really liked the colors of his T-shirt and I was thinking
about making a design with them,
He said, " Mommy, can you please make a design with racing stripes?"
You see, my son is obsessed with cars. Obsessed is putting it mildly.
He plays with them all day, he eats with them on the table,
he takes at least 2 cars with him everywhere he goes.
He even sleep with them.
My son's 1st spoken word was....CAR.
So this is for my son, Nicolas,
I hope he likes the Racing Stripes and I hope you do too!!

Here is my son, Nicolas wearing the shirt that inspired the color choices

Wet-n-Wild - SleepWalker, a closer look

I said a full mani, so here ya go...as I mentioned in the previous haul post...the more I look at it, the more I love it.
It's a pretty cloudy day out, so I didn't get the "ohh-ahh" sparkle, but I think you get the idea.

I think this is much closer to Fortune Teller than I had previously thought
Not too damn bad for .99 cents!
Way to go Wet-n-Wild!

Mini Haul

While killing time waiting for another store to open up, I was wandering around in Rite Aid....and found a few goodies.

(from left to right)
SleepWalker
Pumpkin Glow-In-The-Dark
Full Moon
Love Bite

Sleep Walker is from Wet-n-Wild's new collection, Coloricon
Take one look at it, and you'll know why I picked it up

Uh huh, it looks like Fortune Teller
But, alas, the glitter is too fine to give that true Fortune Teller look, but still, it has a really nice depth to the polish.
Even though the original  intent was to see if it was similar to
Fortune Teller, the more I look at it, the more I really like it.
I may just put this on as a full mani and add the picture later.

Here you can see I've tested it with gloss and matte top coats

~*~

Than I picked up Full Moon from Sinful Colors Halloween collection, which the name is escaping me at the moment. None of the colors are unique, including this one, it's a shimmery gunmetal gray. But I've only 1 polish in this shade and it dried out on me....so this is a good replacement.

~*~

I picked up this pumpkin Glow-in-the-dark polish. What is there to say? It's glow-in-the-dark polish! How fun is that?
Oh yeah, I'll have a blasty blast with this one.

~*~

Sinful Colors Love Bite, also from their Halloween collection,
is gorgeous.

It is almost identical to one of my ALL time favorite China glaze polishes,
Blk-Bila-Bong

(indoors)

(in sunlight)

Love Bite is a black base with a very fine teal glitter, while blk-bila-bong is more of an all over teal black shimmer. No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't capture the true color of these. But the difference so slight, you'd never know they were 2 different polishes. I wear this color on my toes just about all winter long. Love.Pure love.
